Leaf Lamp Project (In Progress)
So my big current project is a lamp based on this Lush Leaf Lamp model that my wife came across via like TikTok or something.
I grabbed some wood pla (and a hardened nozzle) but I'm still in the design phase. I'm creating an adapter to make this work with an IKEA Storsegel table lamp.
So first I need a way to attach the thing to the Storsegel bulb holder/wire stuff. I found this Storsegel Lamp Base model and took the base fastener from that to modify it so that it can then attach to part of the Leaf Lamp rings.

On the left (pink) is one of the rings from the Lush Leaf Lamp with the appropriate hole size but I also added a recessed area where it can fit into the raised circle on the adapter on the right (orange). I can attach the adapter to the Storsegel legs, build the leaf lamp and then glue it where the ring fits in to the adapter.

That last bit is still up in the air though as I'm worried super glue won't be a sufficient bond for the weight of the leaf lamp on it. I'm considering in the recessed circle where they fit together putting small holes (as well as matching small holes in the adapter) and use tiny screws to put it together.
This is still in progress. I'm probably going to go ahead and do the tiny screws modification, then print it all in PLA as a test. If it works I'll then print the adapter + leaf ribs and rings in wood pla, then the leaves themselves in a green translucent pla.
