So The Blue Dragon Army Knows We're Here And Has A Hostage

Tuesday's session was combat free but still a good time. Post fight we looted the big Blue Dragon Lieutenant's body, got a nice longsword and a Ring Of Lightning Resistance which our Wizard will take.

Hid out under a bridge and some illusions while some young blue dragons came through and looked for us. Then hide out and did a short rest. Stann got to interrogate a Blue Dragon Army Officer we captured. Used his Dagger Of Returning, throwing it very close to his balls and then it comes back to his hand to intimidate him. Turns out there are some giant war machine constructs they are digging up. Seems bad.

Our wizard also got some messages in his head from various Blue Dragon Army leadership that we should surrender, they have a couple hostages that the party (pre-me joining) know. We have a couple hours.

Wizard used an arcane eye to spy around the ruins of the city we are in. Found some concentrations of the army, their apparent leader, and some stairs down that look untouched by the Blue Dragon Army.

So down we went! Found a construct down there that we activated. Turns out this place holds a few big Arcane Batteries. The Paladin stuck one in a Portable Hole and we drained the rest recharging spell slots (sometimes just casting to then refill, so we don't leave active arcane batteries for them to find). And then we hear from above that some of the army is there, with one of the hostages (an Archmage from this ruined city). Tim to figure out a rescue plan!

We head up the stairs and our Paladin and Warlock/Barbarian Dimension Door on top of an apparently invisible (adult?) blue dragon alongside the hostage that we can see.
